Our Pillars

All clients can expect the following experience when they engage in the Bolder Coaching program

RESPONSIVE: We’ll start with an initial intake call to discuss coaching needs, growth, development and professional goals with a sponsor or directly with potential coaching candidate.

PERSONALIZED: From that conversation we’ll tailor a plan built for those goals, outline how the coaching process will work, and answer any questions.

CURATED: Based on the information gathered we'll match the appropriate coach with the coaching candidate and get started!

SERVICED: A Bolder Company coaching manager is assigned to an organization and or/individual to ensure goals are met and support candidates throughout their journey.

RESULTS-ORIENTED: We’ll conduct three-way calls with the coach, sponsor, and coaching candidate periodically to focus on goal progress, areas of growth, and make adjustments where needed.

What does it mean to be bolder?

It means being unapologetically one’s self, being willing to step outside a comfort zone to grow, to learn and to challenge one’s self to be a better version of themselves. Not just once, but on a consistent basis.

What makes you bold?

My heart for sure!! I lead with it. I listen with it. I coach from it. I follow it because it never steers me wrong.

What’s your favorite word and why?

My favorite word is limitless. It’s an expansive word and it reminds me that anything is possible with a limitless mindset.

What mad skills do you bring to The Bolder Company?

As a mindset coach, I not only bring my cool bag of mindset shifting coaching tools and skills, but I bring my intuitive nature. For me, this is a powerful combo that supports me in helping clients to quiet their inner critic so that they can be bolder leaders, doing bolder things in their personal and professional lives.

What’s your customer experience super-power?

Not to sound redundant, but my heart. It enables me to remain completely open and curious so I hear and understand my clients at a deeper level. It’s from that deeper level that clients discover their own cool super-powers to be the boldest versions of themselves.

What does it mean to be bolder?

Being bolder means letting out the person you’re truly meant to be and bravely pushing yourself to shine. Too many folks apologize for who they are, self-impose limitations, and waste time living from “shoulds” that don’t suit them. If you let go of playing by rules that don’t align with your aims, values, or ways of doing things, you can play powerfully on your own terms.

 What makes you bold?

I’m down to earth and am atypically open with people. My wins, failures, emotions, insights – it’s built into my way of being to share freely with others. I used to think it was weird, but now I see how it helps all our clients because they’re able to get much more comfortable with many more dimensions of themselves. I also have a good sense of humor about myself.

What’s your favorite word and why?

CHOICE! Difficult emotions like fear can prompt us to feel and believe that we are helpless in a variety of situations where that’s not so. I used to spend a lot of time playing the blame game and making excuses for not playing fully into this precious life. Having gotten out of my own way, I know with certainty that we can 100% learn to create options and make choices where we think we cannot. I’m committed to helping people get out of their own way, to create choices for themselves and play who they really are.

What mad skills do you bring to The Bolder Company?

I’m mad for designing curriculum! I love taking exercises, games, conversations and more from all the disciplines we use – Applied Improvisation, Facilitation, Liberating Structures, Coaching – and making great learning experiences for people. Knowledge is only one piece of the picture, I’m out to have people take on new ways and habits of Thinking, Feeling, Being and Doing. That’s where all the true and permanent growth takes people to powerful places, they didn’t think they could go.

What’s your customer experience super-power?

Listening, staying present, and being direct. Clients always tell me “oh my gosh, you just get me!” and appreciate that I don’t sugar-coat what I’m hearing them say, whether I’m facilitating, coaching, or consulting. Most of us want honest, useful feedback so we can grow, and I take it very seriously to be a source of that for our clients, no matter what their role in a group is.

What does it mean to be bolder?

Being bolder means taking risks. The feeling you keep having that something isn’t quite right in your relationship? Share it. Knowing that your biggest contributions to the world are trapped inside you? Let them out. Sensing that your actions, or those of others around you, are coming from a place of fear? Be the brave one and offer a loving response.

What makes you bold?

On a general level, I am bold because I am willing to be vulnerable, because I counter my ignorance with curiosity, and because I am willing to challenge society’s norms and be a “powerfully gentle man”. Something that is tangibly bold about me is that, though I’m naturally an introvert, I love doing live improv comedy shows for live audiences. Last year I did over 30 shows with as many as 300 people in the crowd!!

What’s your favorite word and why?

Facetiously.

  1. It’s an “F-word” - and those are great.

  2. It uses all the vowels in the English language in order, including “y”!

  3. Best of all, it means “treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humor”!!

What mad skills do you bring to The Bolder Company?

First and foremost, I’m a mad scientist in the mold of Doc Brown, of Back to the Future fame. I LOVE to dissect a problem, then create a solution based on all the things I’ve learned through my decades of experience and education. Specifically, I draw from 25+ years in Corporate America, 15+ years in leadership roles, hundreds of hours of coaching people & teams, thousands of hours of improv training and performance, and 40+ combined years of “Dadding” my three kids. On top of what’s in my big brain, I am a top-notch collaborator with high emotional intelligence and creativity. (I’m super fun to work with!)

What’s your customer experience super-power?

My cape has the letter “T” on it because I have a special knack for building Trust with people and teams. Serving customers is an honor. They have so many choices, they work with limited budgets, and they have to answer for the results that we promise. That makes it super critical that we establish a trusting relationship that allows us to get to the truth of what’s needed and honestly discuss how well we are serving them.

What does it mean to be bolder?

Living bolder means living life out loud. Don’t check any part of you at the door.

What makes you bold?

I’m bold by accepting my strengths and weaknesses as a single package and sharing it authentically with those around me.

What’s your favorite word and why?

I love the word genuine. There is nothing more beautiful than experiencing someone truly as they are.

What mad skills do you bring to The Bolder Company?

I love infusing behavioral science into everything I do, from powerful questions to holding a vision. I like to dive deep and connect quickly with a client so that we get to work on the core issues right away, and the value they experience is immediate. I understand the foundation of mindfulness, the utility of resilience, and the transformative power of accepting your indescribable self.

What’s your customer experience super-power?

Customer experience develops from within the context of the client’s expectations. My super-power is aligning those expectations and creating clarity around the knowledge they are about to uncover.

What does it mean to be bolder?

To be a little uncomfortable in order to grow. To take a smart risk. To take a stand and uplift others. To be myself. To admit when I’m wrong. To risk making a connection and possibly failing.

What makes you bold?

Being in the company of others where we appreciate each other in our strengths and vulnerabilities. Success makes me bold. So does learning. Self-compassion does, too.

What’s your favorite word and why?

Any word I can swirl around in my mouth, that feels good in there, sort of like fine wine. I expect that a good word will require I dab my mouth with a napkin afterward, as some of it remains there….

What mad skills do you bring to The Bolder Company?

Playful, inclusive humor. Brain-based understanding of the human mind and behavior. Science-based methods for helping people flourish and thrive. A passion for facilitating growth, optimism, connection, and hope.

What’s your customer experience super-power?

Clear, inclusive communication. Asking questions meant to unlock what’s unknown and inspire. To help people return to their biggest hope in themselves.
